Ed completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree at the University of Sydney in 1992. He joined Narrabri Council as a Design Engineer in 1993. He obtained a wide range of experience in surveying, urban and rural road and drainage design and construction supervision.
Ed joined the Roads and Traffic Authority in 1999 and worked in various roles across western NSW including Project Engineer and Senior Estimator. His experience included bridge construction and maintenance, highway construction and maintenance, major drainage structures, traffic management, environmental management and flood damage mitigation in locations such as Bathurst and Broken Hill. He also project managed private works for clients such as Statewater, CSIRO, National Parks and Wildlife Service and various local councils.
In 2010 Ed commenced with Daracon and project managed a variety of civil infrastructure works across the private sector. These included pumping stations, gas wellhead infrastructure and environmental rehabilitation for the gas industry; void water dams, rail coal loading terminal, haul road construction for the coal mining sector and various subdivisions and roadworks for private developers. His role managed the planning, implementation and execution of these projects where he was responsible for all aspects of quality, safety, environment, budget control and construction programming.
In 2015 Ed formed Paas Consulting Pty Ltd to provide civil engineering consultancy and project management services to a range of clients in the government and private sector. He is a Member of the Institute of Engineers Australia (NPER), a Chartered Professional Engineer and holds a Graduate Diploma in Project Management.
